The journey

The legendary home of desert racing. Following trails made famous by the Baja 1000, this is more than a thousand kilometres of towering cacti, rugged mountain trails and remote coastlines along the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez — an exhilarating off-road adventure for those who appreciate freedom, challenging terrain and exceptional driving, complemented by memorable evenings, fresh seafood, regional cuisine and authentic Mexican hospitality.

Your 7-day programme

A rhythm of adventure by day and comfort by night — here is how the expedition unfolds.

Day 1: Arrival in Tecate

Arrival in Tecate

Private transfer from San Diego across the border to Tecate and the rolling vineyards of Valle de Guadalupe — the traditional Baja 1000 staging ground. Expedition briefing and welcome dinner in Baja’s wine country before the machines are prepared.

Day 2: Sierra de Juárez → Ensenada
Day 2

Sierra de Juárez → Ensenada

Engines start. First stages climb through the pine forests and dusty mountain passes of the Sierra de Juárez, then drop down long fast tracks to the Pacific at Ensenada. Overnight stay in Ensenada.

Day 3: The Pacific coast → San Quintín

The Pacific coast → San Quintín

South along the rugged Pacific — open coastal tracks, ocean bluffs and scrub-desert runs to the wide bay of San Quintín. Overnight stay in San Quintín.

Day 4: Valle de los Cirios → Bahía de los Ángeles

Valle de los Cirios → Bahía de los Ángeles

Cross the peninsula through the Valle de los Cirios, a forest of giant cardon and cirio cactus, to the turquoise Sea of Cortez at Bahía de los Ángeles. Overnight on the Cortez.

Day 5: The Vizcaíno desert → San Ignacio

The Vizcaíno desert → San Ignacio

Long stages across the Vizcaíno desert and volcanic hills, dust and cactus as far as you can see, to the date-palm oasis of San Ignacio. Overnight stay in San Ignacio.

Day 6: Finish in La Paz

Finish in La Paz

The final long run south to La Paz on the Sea of Cortez — the end of the driving — and a celebration dinner on the malecón. Overnight stay in La Paz.

Day 7: Farewell & transfer
